Brigitte Binkert

Brigitte Binkert is an attorney specializing in helping small and medium-sized businesses with matters related to transactional law, including intellectual property, commercial transactions, general business matters, business formation and estate planning.

Based in Silicon Valley, she also provides legal consultation services to attorneys and businesses in German-speaking countries that seek to conduct business transactions in the U.S. Similarly, Brigitte assists U.S. clients with their legal needs in German-speaking countries.

Before opening her own practice in early 2009, Brigitte worked at the Ansari Law Firm in Santa Clara, California. There she advised individuals, small businesses and corporate clients on all aspects of trademark and copyright law, business formation and contract matters.

Admitted to the California State Bar in 2007, Brigitte holds a Certificate in International Law with Honors from the University of San Francisco School of Law. She was also managing editor of the University of San Francisco Intellectual Property Law Bulletin and is the published author of an article on the Global Intellectual Property Framework under Trade-Related Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS).

Before becoming an attorney, Brigitte advised technology clients at Edelman Public Relations in Silicon Valley and was a public school teacher in Switzerland.

During these previous careers, Brigitte was able to build upon her natural abilities as an effective listener and communicator. These skills are integral to Brigitte's ability to understand her current clients' needs and advise them appropriately.

A native of Switzerland, Brigitte is fluent in German and English. She currently lives in Mountain View, California, with her husband and two children.
